Sculptor | Community Builder | Environmental Advocate
A graduate of the University of Chicago majoring in visual arts and political science, May Yeung specialises in sculpture. After success with public exhibitions of her work Citation at Chicago Union Station, Rockefeller Chapel, and Regenstein Library, May’s interest in public art installation grew. With an interest to examine and question the relationship between sculpture and viewers further, May’s installations What If… and Hold Me were shown at the Smart Museum and Harper Memorial Library in Chicago between 2012 and 2015.
Upon her return to HK, May was invited to showcase Cocoon at the Residence of the Dutch Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau. Since 2018, May has been serving as the Artist-in-Residence at Faith in Love Foundation. She organized a series of green arts workshops for Tin Shui Wai elderly and Precious Blood Children’s Village in 2018 – 2019.
